CSR concept

Adhering to the concept of "Stay Loyal to the Nation and Benefit the People", COFCO strives for deep integration of CSR management with its strategy, production, and operation. We have established a "concept-strategy-target-action" approach to perform our responsibilities, effectively push forward CSR management and practices, and achieve the organic synergy between social responsibilities and sustainable corporate development.

 

CSR governance

COFCO has established and improved the social responsibility governance system and mechanism. We have formed a social responsibility organizational structure that features overall planning, linkage from top to bottom, and coordinated promotion. The Corporate Office is responsible for coordinating, managing, and promures overall planning, linkage from top to bottom, and coordinated promotion. It is also responsible for formulating annual social responsibility plans, and preparing and issuing COFCO Social Responsibility reports, etc. All functional departments are responsible for supervising and implementing social responsibility in accordance with their own functions. Each specialized company has supervising a full-time (part-time) person in charge of the promotion of social responsibility to maintain communication with the COFCO Corporate Office, and efficiently advance the implementation of social responsibility work.

COFCO regularly prepares and releases CSR reports to comprehensively discloses to the public its performance and achievements in economic, environmental, and social aspects. At the same time, COFCO innovates communication methods, using the corporate official website, official Weixin, corporate journals, and other diversified channels to timely and effectively disseminate the COFCO's social responsibility performance and build a responsible brand image.

 

Stakeholder engagement

 COFCO attaches great importance to the communication with stakeholders. We continuously improve communication channels and mechanisms, timely respond to the demands of stakeholders, and transform the reasonable expectations of stakeholders into social responsibility targets and actions. Through these efforts, we aim to continuously improve social responsibility management and make common progress with stakeholders.
