As the representative of China's business industry, Mr. Frank Ning, Chairman of COFCO, attended the third meeting of APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) in Lima, Peru, from August 21-25, 2011. He also attended the APEC Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Summit.
Mr. Ning came up with a package of proposals on grain safety on behalf of China's industry and commerce sectors, covering agri-technology transfer, irrational grain consumption, tighter supervision and control of financial speculation on the grain market, etc. THe meeting echoed his proposals and wrote them in the report to be submitted to leader of APEC economies.
Mr. Ning also attended the APEC Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Summit and gave an important speech, introducing to about 2000 participants China's grain market, COFCO's development strategy and cooperation perspective with South American enterprises.
