The Gansu COFCO Coca-Cola Beverage Co., Ltd., a project requiring total investment of US$12 million, has two bottling lines and an annual output capacity of 24 million unit cases. The new facility in Lanzhou formally went into operation September 29.
This is the fifth wholly invested Coke bottling plant set up by COFCO Coca-Cola Beverage Co., Ltd. The marketing area for the new facility covers Gansu, Xinjiang, Ningxia, Qinghai and Tibet, the largest area of any of the 29 Coke bottling plants in Chinese Mainland. This represents an important step in carrying out our strategy of expansion in the western region of the country.
COFCO chairman Ning Gaoning and assistant to the president Qu Zhe as well as Coca-Cola China president Bao Yiqiu attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
