On June 9-10, SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Qingdao Summit was successfully held in the scenic coastal city of Qingdao. As another grand diplomatic event that took place in China in the year of 2018, the Summit has played an important role in promoting China to further its security, economic, trade, and cultural cooperation with its neighboring countries.
During the process of preparing for and holding SCO Qingdao Summit, COFCO Corporation as always provided support and guarantee for the country’s major state events. On May 25, a signing ceremony for enterprises to sponsor 2018 SCO Qingdao Summit was held in Qingdao, where Wang Jiaxin, member of the Standing Committee of CPC of Qingdao municipal government & deputy mayor, and COFCO Corporation’s authorized representative signed on behalf of each party an agreement under which COFCO Corporation became an official sponsor for Qingdao Summit.
Several specialized subsidiary companies of COFCO Corporation participated in providing support for Qingdao Summit, including Mengniu Dairy, COFCO Wines & Spirits, China Tea, COFCO Oils & Oilseeds, COFCO Grains & Cereals, and COFCO Coca-Cola Beverages. The whole effort was well organized and effectively executed in a safe and convenient manner. Completely sealed in food containers, all the sponsored products were delivered from the place of production to the site designated by the preparatory committee of Qingdao Summit.
