National Standard for “Extra-strong Aroma Baijiu” Promulgated by State Administration for Market Regulation Release Time : 2021-03-29
Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of China) released “China Standardization (No. 3, 2021), which includes “GB/T10781.11-2021 Baijiu Quality Requirement Section 11 Extra-strong Aroma Baijiu” mainly drafted by Jiugui Liquor Co., Ltd. under COFCO Wines & Spirits. As of now, the formulation of national standard for extra-strong aroma baijiu has been officially finalized, making it the eleventh major Chinese baijiu aroma stipulated by National Standard.  

As the pioneer of extra-strong aroma baijiu as well as the drafter of national standard, Jiugui Liquor has enjoyed strong leadership and generous support from COFCO Corporation in recent years, inheriting traditional arts and crafts, adhering to perfection and principles of craftsmanship, and engaged in constant innovation and growth to blaze a unique trail of “extra-strong aroma” one step at a time. The release of this standard is conducive to greater influence of extra-strong aroma type of baijiu and faster pace of Jiugui Liquor’s quality development. Meanwhile, since “extra-strong aroma” baijiu is the economic pillar for impoverished minority ethnic regions in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province, the establishment of standard for this aroma type is of great significance to local economic development, social stability and poverty relief.
